I was a distributor of joint replacement devices myself for major manufacturers at Taiwan market before I founded United Orthopedic Corporation (UOC) two decades ago (since March 1993). Under the economic climate at the time, with high cost of imported joint prosthesis, it was a rather costly for patients to undergo joint replacement procedures. Moreover, most major prosthesis manufacturing conglomerates were not responsive in addressing questions and/or requests from less contribute customers. 

Being inspired by unsatisfied patients and surgeons alike, I was determined to develop joint replacement prosthesis locally that offers comparative or superior design features and quality, competitive pricing, and flexible yet responsive customer service for all. Almost 20 years later, I can now confidently say that UOC has achieved what we have set off for.
